Class 4 / Class 5 Drivers

Location: Various locations across New Zealand

Experienced Class 4 and Class 5 Drivers are required for full-time transport and logistics roles across New Zealand. These positions involve the safe and efficient transportation of freight, goods, machinery, or materials while maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 4 and/or Class 5 vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with New Zealand road transport regulations.
  • Transport freight, goods, machinery, or materials to scheduled destinations within required timeframes.
  • Complete vehicle checks and basic maintenance inspections before and after trips.
  • Ensure loads are safely secured and comply with transport and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and transport documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and site personnel.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company driving policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading when required.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven and documented experience operating heavy vehicles.
  • Current New Zealand Class 4 and/or Class 5 driver’s licence (or overseas equivalent able to be converted).
  • Strong understanding of transport safety regulations and vehicle operation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends, or overnight shifts where required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), with acceptable evidence provided at the time of application.
  • Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s health and character requirements for the AEWV.
  • All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation such as reference letters, employment records, or contracts.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience operating a range of heavy vehicles including trucks, trailers, tankers, or tipper units.
  • Forklift endorsement or additional transport endorsements are advantageous.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well under pressure.
