Full-time Landscape Gardener required to join an established garden maintenance and landscaping team. This role involves a wide range of outdoor work including turf care, planting, pruning, irrigation, lawn care, and general landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lawn mowing using both ride-on and push mowers.
  • Brush cutting, weed control, and section clearing.
  • Planting and propagating trees, shrubs, flowers, hedges, and bulbs.
  • Pruning trees and hedges, shaping branches, and lopping limbs using hand tools and chainsaws.
  • General maintenance and basic operation of irrigation systems.
  • Assessing plant and tree health and applying treatment or maintenance as needed.
  • Accurate site reporting and record-keeping where required.
  • Providing excellent on-site customer service and working as part of a team to meet job deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of proven and documented experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, or horticultural work.
  • Strong understanding of plant care, horticultural techniques, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to operate landscaping tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • A full and current driver’s licence (must be confident towing a trailer).
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English to follow site instructions and interact with clients and team members.
  • Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV)acceptable evidence of English must be submitted at the time of application.
  • Must meet INZ’s character and health requirements, including a clean police record and the ability to pass a medical examination if required.
  • Work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation such as reference letters, contracts, or employment history.
