CO₂ Project Manager
(ANZSCO Skill Level 1)
An experienced CO₂ Project Manager is required to oversee the delivery of commercial and industrial refrigeration projects, with a focus on CO₂ (CO2) systems. This role involves managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage refrigeration projects involving CO₂ systems from start to finish.

Oversee installation teams, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure efficient project delivery.

Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet client and operational requirements.

Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Ensure all work complies with relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues as they arise.

Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.

Support commissioning, testing, and handover of completed systems.
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of proven and documented experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical services, including project coordination and management experience.

Demonstrated experience working with CO₂ refrigeration systems (commercial or industrial).

Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Relevant qualification in engineering, refrigeration, HVAC, or project management is preferred.

Current driver’s licence.

Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), with acceptable evidence provided at the time of application.

Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s health and character requirements for the AEWV.

All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation (e.g. reference letters, employment records).
