Experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technicians are required for full-time roles supporting manufacturing and production operations in Invercargill.
These positions are focused on improving asset reliability, maximising equipment availability, and supporting production performance through preventative, corrective, and precision maintenance practices.
Successful applicants will work as part of an established maintenance team supporting critical production assets in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities

Execute planned, preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Complete preventative maintenance tasks to identify and reduce equipment failures.

Diagnose faults and repair production-critical equipment efficiently and effectively.

Carry out maintenance activities during planned shutdowns and unscheduled maintenance windows.

Perform overhaul and maintenance of rotating and spare equipment where required.

Support defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.

Record maintenance activities accurately within maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Assist in reviewing and improving preventative maintenance strategies and work packages.

Support maintenance planning and shutdown preparation activities.

Assist with evaluating and implementing improvements to equipment reliability and performance.

Maintain strict adherence to workplace health, safety, and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of proven and documented experience in a maintenance and diagnostic role within manufacturing, production, industrial, or processing environments.

Mechanical Trade Qualification (Level 4 or equivalent minimum) an advantage.

Strong trade capability across mechanical fitting, welding, and machining.

Proven ability to diagnose faults and deliver practical solutions with minimal rework.

Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies.

Knowledge of industrial health, safety, and compliance requirements.

Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.

Experience using CMMS systems (such as SAP or similar) is advantageous.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
