Some New Zealand employers recruit skilled workers from overseas when they cannot find suitable candidates locally. These employers may be willing to complete the required employment and immigration steps so an eligible worker can apply for a New Zealand work visa.
The term visa sponsorship is commonly used by job seekers, but New Zealand employers do not directly grant or guarantee visas. The employer may provide an eligible job offer and complete required employer processes, while the worker must submit and qualify for their own visa application.
Browse vacancies with employers that may hold the accreditation required to support eligible migrant workers.
Some vacancies may be open to qualified and experienced applicants who are currently living outside New Zealand.

Explore employment opportunities in major cities, regional centres and rural communities throughout New Zealand.
The availability of employer-supported work visa opportunities varies by occupation, region and labour demand. Applicants should focus on positions that closely match their qualifications, skills and verifiable employment history.
Your CV should clearly explain your qualifications, employment history, practical skills and responsibilities. Include accurate employment dates, employer names, job titles and details about the tools, machinery, equipment, systems or processes you have worked with.
Employers and Immigration New Zealand may require evidence that your qualifications and claimed work experience are genuine. Supporting evidence can include employment reference letters, contracts, payslips, bank statements showing salary payments, tax or social-insurance records, trade certificates, licences and apprenticeship records.
Applicants may also need to meet work visa requirements relating to health, character, English language, qualifications, occupational registration and relevant employment experience. The employer and position must also meet the immigration requirements that apply at the time the application is submitted.
Browse current vacancies with New Zealand employers. Review each advertisement carefully to confirm the required skills, experience, qualifications, location and whether the employer may consider applicants who require support for a New Zealand work visa.
