Chiller Technician – Full-Time
A skilled and reliable Chiller Technician is required to join a service team. This role involves performing operational, maintenance, and repair tasks on various chiller installations while working collaboratively with other technicians on-site.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of chiller units.

Accurately and promptly complete all required documentation related to the work performed.

Participate in a rotating on-call roster for urgent service needs.

Maintain effective professional relationships with technicians and apprentices; work efficiently in pairs or small teams.

Adhere to all safety procedures and comply with statutory, site, and company policies.

Attend training sessions and service meetings as required.

Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.

Ensure the company vehicle and allocated tools are properly maintained in accordance with policies.

Assist with on-site training and supervision of apprentices as required.

Identify small repair needs, prepare quotes, and report service leads as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 5 years of proven experience working with chiller systems or in a closely related HVAC/mechanical role. This experience must be supported with verifiable documentation (e.g. reference letters, employment certificates).

Ability to meet the English language requirements as set out by Immigration New Zealand for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). Acceptable evidence of English must be submitted at the time of application.

Recognised relevant trade qualification.

Full driver’s licence.

Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Capability and willingness to support junior team members and engage in continuous professional development.
