These positions suit skilled concreters with experience in all aspects of concrete preparation, placement, finishing, and repair. Successful applicants will work on a variety of projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare sites for concrete pours, including excavation, boxing, and formwork preparation.

Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, driveways, footpaths, kerbs, and structural elements.

Construct and dismantle formwork and install reinforcing materials where required.

Screed, float, edge, and finish concrete using hand and power tools.

Apply decorative and exposed aggregate finishes where required.

Carry out repairs and resurfacing of existing concrete structures.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans.

Operate concrete finishing equipment and power tools safely.

Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements.

Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as a Concreter.

Strong experience in concrete placement, finishing, and formwork.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Experience using concrete finishing tools and machinery.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Current driver's licence preferred.

Relevant construction or concrete qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Must meet Immigration New Zealand's English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), with acceptable evidence of English proficiency provided at the time of application.

Must meet Immigration New Zealand's health and character requirements for the AEWV.

All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation, including employment records, contracts, and reference letters.
