Experienced Rope Access Technicians are required for full-time roles across projects in Auckland.

These positions are suited to skilled technicians who can safely perform inspection, maintenance, installation, and repair work at height using industrial rope access techniques. Successful applicants will work across a variety of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rope access work safely and efficiently in accordance with IRATA International standards.
  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, installation, repair, and construction activities at height.
  • Install, inspect, and dismantle rope access systems and associated equipment.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and ensure all rope access gear is maintained and compliant.
  • Complete work in accordance with site specifications, engineering drawings, and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, clients, and other trades on-site.
  • Complete job documentation and safety reporting accurately.
  • Follow all workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as a Rope Access Technician.
  • Current IRATA International certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is mandatory.
  • Experience working in commercial, industrial, construction, or infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to safely perform work at heights using rope access systems.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and hazard management.
  • Current driver's licence preferred.
  • Trade qualifications in welding, painting, mechanical, inspection, NDT, or construction are advantageous but not essential.
  • Must be physically fit and medically capable of working at heights.
  • Must meet Immigration New Zealand's English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), with acceptable evidence of English proficiency provided at the time of application.
  • Must meet Immigration New Zealand's health and character requirements for the AEWV.
  • All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation, including employment records, contracts, and reference letters.

Preferred Attributes

  • IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 certification.
  • Experience in structural maintenance, industrial shutdowns, coatings, welding, inspections, or mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and in challenging environments.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work overtime when required.
