Experienced Residential HVAC Technicians are required for full-time roles installing, servicing, and maintaining residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across New Zealand.

These positions suit technicians with strong experience working in residential environments and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, service, and maintain residential HVAC systems including heat pumps, split systems, ducted systems, ventilation systems, and associated controls.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system performance testing.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and installation instructions.
  • Complete installation and service documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all work is completed to required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and internal teams.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
  • Support installation and project teams as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 years of proven and documented experience working as a Residential HVAC Technician or in residential air conditioning and ventilation installation and servicing.
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Experience installing and servicing heat pumps, split systems, ducted air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and provide practical solutions efficiently.
  • Relevant trade qualification in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical services, or equivalent preferred.
  • Current driver’s licence required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Not afraid to spend days in roof cavities working on projects
