Description

Two experienced, highly skilled Heavy Diesel Truck Technicians are required for a new state-of-the-art facility located in Gisborne’s aerodrome business park. Applications are welcome from candidates at all stages of their careers.

The workshop is equipped with the latest in truck maintenance technology, including a full-length service pit and an 8T overhead gantry for heavy lifting.

The role involves working on a select range of vehicle and engine makes and models, with a strong focus on high-quality diagnostics, repairs, and ongoing heavy vehicle maintenance.

Remuneration:

Pay will be tailored to the applicant's qualifications and skills. A company vehicle may be included, depending on experience and capability.

Skillset / Experience Required:

  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with modern diagnostic software and tools
  • Trade Certificate and/or a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Class 4/5 licence (advantageous)
  • High standard of workmanship and reliability
  • Ability to meet Immigration New Zealand’s English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) — evidence of English proficiency must be provided at the time of application.

Role Details:

  • Competitive hourly rates ($35–$50/hour)
  • Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, minimum 40 hours per week
