Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics are required to join a Rotorua-based team servicing the heavy transport industry. These roles are suited to mechanics with a strong background working on heavy trucks and transport equipment who enjoy varied work, fleet servicing, and flexible shift options.

The successful candidates will join an established and experienced team, with multiple positions available across a range of shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy transport equipment.
  • Carry out repairs on heavy trucks and fleet vehicles.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and mechanical inspections.
  • Identify faults and complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
  • Work to deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised condition.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 years of proven and documented experience working on heavy trucks and transport equipment.
  • Relevant experience in heavy diesel mechanics, fleet servicing, or transport equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and available to work rostered shifts if required.
  • Drug-free and able to pass pre-employment and/or random drug testing.
  • Strong, uncompromising approach to health and safety.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
  • Current driver’s licence required.
  • Relevant trade qualification preferred.
