A qualified and experienced HVAC Technician is required for a full-time role installing, servicing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position involves working across residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects, ensuring systems are installed and maintained to high industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ducted systems, ventilation, and heating equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and servicing of systems to ensure performance and compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications for system layout and operation.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and site policies.
- Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and internal team members.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as an HVAC Technician or in a closely related mechanical services role.
- Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, materials, and relevant building codes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a variety of environments.
- Trade qualification in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical services is preferred.
- A full and current driver’s licence.
- Must be fluent in English to communicate effectively with clients, site personnel, and team members.

evidence of English proficiency must be submitted at the time of application. - Must meet INZ’s character and health requirements, including a clean police record and the ability to pass a medical examination if required.
- All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation such as reference letters, job contracts, or employment records.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems or electrical controls.
- Current Site Safe or similar health and safety certification.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
