Experienced Painters are required for full-time roles across residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout New Zealand.
These positions suit skilled painters who take pride in producing high-quality finishes while working safely and efficiently. Successful applicants will undertake a variety of interior and exterior painting projects and work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to deliver projects on time and to specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and removing old paint or wallpaper.

Select, prepare, and mix paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other coating materials to achieve the required finish.

Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and specialist coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

Hang wallpaper, apply wall coverings, and complete decorative finishes where required.

Protect surrounding areas using drop sheets, masking materials, and other protective coverings.

Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms where required.

Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish and carry out touch-ups where necessary.

Clean, maintain, and safely store painting tools and equipment.

Work in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures and relevant building standards.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as a Painter.

Recognised trade qualification in painting and decorating is preferred but not essential.

Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods.

Experience using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, and associated painting tools.

Ability to read and interpret job specifications and work instructions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Capable of undertaking supervisory responsibilities when required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

Physically fit and comfortable working at heights where required.

Current driver's licence preferred.
