CO2 Project Manager
An experienced CO₂ Project Manager is required to oversee the delivery of commercial and industrial refrigeration projects, with a focus on CO₂ (CO2) systems. This role involves managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage refrigeration projects involving CO₂ systems from start to finish.
- Oversee installation teams, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet client and operational requirements.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
- Identify and manage project risks, resolving issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover of completed systems.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven and documented experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical services, including project coordination and management experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with CO₂ refrigeration systems (commercial or industrial).
- Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Relevant qualification in engineering, refrigeration, HVAC, or project management is preferred.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s English language requirements for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), with acceptable evidence provided at the time of application.
- Must meet Immigration New Zealand’s health and character requirements for the AEWV.
- All work experience must be supported by verifiable documentation (e.g. reference letters, employment records).
