A Production Machine Operator is required for a hands-on manufacturing role operating and learning an older, predominantly mechanical production machine.

This position is suited to someone with strong mechanical aptitude, practical problem-solving ability, and the willingness to learn how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical production equipment.

The successful applicant will receive on-the-job training from an experienced operator and must be able to communicate effectively in Thai.

Important Language Requirement

Applicants MUST be able to speak and understand Thai to a good working level.

The primary operator responsible for training speaks Thai, so the ability to communicate clearly in Thai is essential to ensure the successful applicant can be trained safely and effectively.

Applicants who cannot communicate in Thai will not be suitable for this particular position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate and manage a mechanical production machine safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine performance throughout production runs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical faults and operating issues.
  • Make routine mechanical adjustments where required.
  • Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and production preparation.
  • Follow operating procedures and production specifications.
  • Carry out basic inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Report machinery faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Maintain accurate production records where required.
  • Work safely within a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Work closely with experienced operators and supervisors during training and ongoing production.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to speak and understand Thai is mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machinery operation, mechanical work, maintenance, engineering, or a similar hands-on environment is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to learn how mechanical machinery operates and understand cause-and-effect when troubleshooting faults.
  • Comfortable working with older, mechanically operated production equipment.
  • Reliable, practical, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently once trained and as part of a production team.
  • Physically capable of working within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

Applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • Production machine operation.
  • Mechanical manufacturing equipment.
  • Industrial maintenance.
  • Mechanical fitting or engineering.
  • Factory or manufacturing environments.
  • Machine setup and adjustment.
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Production or process manufacturing.
