Qualified Carpenters – Full-Time

Experienced and qualified Carpenters are required for full-time roles across residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Christchurch region. These positions suit skilled tradespeople who take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and have experience across all aspects of carpentry, from new builds to renovations and commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, repair, and maintain timber structures and building components.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and construction specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber, wall framing, roofing, flooring, doors, windows, and other building components.
• Install and dismantle formwork where required.
• Carry out renovations, alterations, and finishing carpentry to a high standard.
• Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with New Zealand Building Code requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to deliver projects on time.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as a Carpenter.
• Recognised carpentry trade qualification is essential.
• Strong experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• High standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional construction team.
• Applicants must have a good level of spoken and written English and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other tradespeople.

• Provide verifiable work experience documentation, including employment records, trade qualifications, contracts, and reference letters.
