Experienced and qualified Carpenters are required for full-time roles across residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Christchurch region. These positions suit skilled tradespeople who take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and have experience across all aspects of carpentry, from new builds to renovations and commercial construction.
Key Responsibilities

Construct, install, repair, and maintain timber structures and building components.

Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and construction specifications.

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber, wall framing, roofing, flooring, doors, windows, and other building components.

Install and dismantle formwork where required.

Carry out renovations, alterations, and finishing carpentry to a high standard.

Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.

Ensure all work complies with New Zealand Building Code requirements and workplace health and safety standards.

Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to deliver projects on time.
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of proven and documented experience working as a Carpenter.

Recognised carpentry trade qualification is essential.

Strong experience in residential and/or commercial construction.

Ability to read and accurately interpret construction drawings and specifications.

High standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.

Current driver's licence preferred.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a professional construction team.

Applicants must have a good level of spoken and written English and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other tradespeople.
